The VASTeam™ is made up of experienced specialists striving to change the way the world generates and distributes power. Team members are gifted and committed. They have demonstrated a willingness to do whatever task must be done to bring our outcomes in line with our strategy. And they do this regardless of whether it is part of their primary role at VAST. This enables the VASTeam to pivot quickly and seize the opportunities we encounter. The VASTeam may be small but that does have some advantages.

VAST’s Chairman casts vision, recruits team members, leads business development, raises capital and leads succession planning. He is not the CEO. The CEO function is provided by the mutual decisions of the three members who serve as the Executive Committee (currently Ginter, O’Halloran and McKenzie). Innovation is led by our Chief Scientist, Dr. David Hagen, who also writes VAST’s patents. Our President oversees the daily implementation of strategy and operations. He also is our Chief Technology Officer. Finance and compliance are supervised by our CFO.

Nice and neat on paper, but the reality is everyone does a bit of everything: we all lead, strategize, innovate, and promote VAST in our own spheres of influence.
